In What Order Should I Be Using My Products?

When to use what? This is by far my most frequently asked question, and understandably so. The order in which you apply your product is VERY important in order to ensure proper product penetration. All ingredients have different molecule sizes so if you’re applying them improperly it can really affect their efficacy. Now there are always some exceptions but generally this is the order in which you would apply your products for both AM and PM. Not everyone will use all of these kinds of products, so identify the ones you are using and use them in that order.

AM Regimen:

  1. Cleanser
  2. Toner/Oil control wipe (if applicable)
  3. Antioxidant/vitamin C serum
  4. Lightening cream (if applicable)
  5. AHA/BHA lotion/cream (if applicable)
  6. Eye cream
  7. Moisturizer (if applicable)
  8. SPF
  9. Makeup

PM Regimen:

  1. Cleanser
  2. Scrub or mask (typically done 1-2 times a week)
  3. Toner/oil control wipe (if applicable)
  4. Tretinoin/Retinol
  5. Lightening cream (if applicable)
  6. AHA/BHA lotion/cream (if applicable)
  7. Eye cream
  8. moisturizer (if applicable)

If you’re unsure of the order your products should go in shoot me a message and i’ll help ya out! 🙂

  1. I’ve been using an exfoliating scrub every night (Zo’s Dual Action Scrub). Should I cut back and use 2-3 times a week instead?
